September has hit, and my brain has begun its seasonal overtime, pondering ideas about Halloween costumes, birthday parties, birthday gifts, Christmas gifts, and all the celebrations packed into October through December in this lovely little household.
So here's the progress we've made so far. . . .
Bryce's Halloween costume, (or something remotely based upon this) can be seen HERE
(and by the way, i LOVE that website. . .for all things kid and family friendly!!!)
And yesterday, Bryce has begun the following Christmas list . . .
-a robot with a ray gun and a space shuttle. (hows THAT for specific, santa? I'd like to see you make THAT happen!)
-two stuffed animal camels (I guess the one he already owns needs some more friends of his own kind)
-new books (because apparently the weekly trips to the library just aren't doin' it for him anymore)

Ok - first things first...how come I havent made the list of family and friends blogs? sniff..sniff... AND...Jacob has requested a hula hoopin' giraffe costume for Halloween - that was his theme for his bday party. His last bday party - a cow party, turtle cake and a visit from Santa in August..yep, we did it...the year before an octopus party. Next Halloween, he has plans to be a hippopotamus. Good grief...my creative child but I love it!
oh my gosh. . . .lauren, how did i not realize that you AREN'T on my list!???? Good GRIEF. i am correcting that RIGHT now!
It is hard to believe summer is over and Christmas is all too close. How are you guys fairing the tropical weather? I just put up some pictures from camp this summer. It is already soup and cold season here in the Northwoods...the first frost is coming soon...YIKES!
Laura - Each October, my mom's school has a used book sale. It's massive in the school gym. The families/community donate books and they resell them for 1.00 each and .50 for soft back. Tons of children's books and lots of cookbooks and adult books...junior high books, etc. We load up for a dollar. It's at San Jose Episcopal School...just a great deal :).
I love that costume! If only I lived near you I would insist that we make it together!
Halloween is (one of) my favorite holiday! I am having Halloween BUNCO at my house and I still do not know what costume I shall wear... perhaps a robot with a ray gun in a space shuttle.....LOST IN SPACE!
