Soooo happy!

So happy to go from THIS. . ..To THIS. . . . (It's sort of shocking to me, to look at that first picture of me. . .HOLY COW, I was HUGE!!!!!!! And when that picture was taken, I still had another week before he would be born!)

Happy birthday to our sweet Little T. . .more pictures to come, as we celebrate his first year!

Special thanks to Aunt Angie (PopPop's sister) for this sweet blanket she made Tanner!!! He looks pretty cozy and comfy, doesn't he???
We have been so blessed by SO many people the past few weeks, and I am quite sure we would not be in as good shape as we are, if it weren't for YOU!!

Just a FEW things we are especially thankful for:

*Meals. . . . delicious pork BBQ from Paul and Sara, meals from Eric's parents, and especially meals from Nana - she has kept us fed for at least a week of Tanner's first month! Plus the food my mom made and put in our freezer while she was here. Miraculously, we have not had to resort to scrambled eggs, grilled cheese, or frozen pizza a single time!!

*Gifts for Bryce - he has handled all of the chaos in his life this month SO well. Thanks so much to all of you who have sent him mail, gifts, and just spent the extra time to talk to HIM about whatever he wants to chat about (generally Legos, bad guys, and racecars.) Thank you for making him feel special and not at all left out, amidst all the attention being given to his little brother!

Speaking of that little brother. . .he is waking up. So, I will cut this short and just say THANK YOU. We appreciate each of you, and forgive me if I have not properly thanked you for whatever wonderful thing(s) you have done!!!! Oh - and there are a few more new pictures over on my blog, so hop on over and see the cuteness there too!!! :)

my three sweeties

the littlest of the three sweeties had his weight check today, at the dr. he gained 15 ounces in the past 9 days. . . .well surpassing the goal of an ounce a day! Woohooo!!! We don't have to go back to the dr now until his two month checkup.

Bryce had his first dentist appt yesterday and passed that with flying colors as well. He handled most everything (minus two of the Xrays, and well. . .the mint dental floss) like a champ!!! So proud of my boys!!!

Just a few quick pictures in between everything that seems to make the days go by so quickly.

Thanks for being patient with me being SLOW to get pictures posted!!! I still haven't gotten any of them off of my camera. . .. these have all been from my mom. (Thanks mama!)

We took Bryce to Meet-the-teacher day at school on Friday, and he got to see his classroom and meet some of the kids in his class. Preschool starts on Tuesday - and so far he seems pretty excited about it. I know that on Tuesday morning he will be apprehensive, but I am so glad that for NOW at least, he is excited. There's a play kitchen (almost just like Jilly's) in his classroom, so he is really happy about that.

Tanner went for a checkup last Tuesday, and he had gained a couple of ounces, so that's good news. We go back on Wednesday, and he will get at least one shot. . .but I will be extra brave. I can handle it!!! :) He's been sleeping fairly well at night, (but I'm not saying that outloud, because I don't want to jinx it!!!! You didn't hear it from me! I didn't say a WORD!)

Bryce LOVES Tanner and likes to be with him .. . .as long as he isn't CRYING. Then he asks me to go put Tanner upstairs in his crib!!!!

Okay - time to get back to the boys!

one handed blogging . . ..

i'm remembering once again how to blog and feed a baby at the same time! here are a few pictures! i'm sorry they took so long! will get more up soon!

he's here!!!

If you are reading this, you probably already know. . .but Tanner arrived on Friday morning, at 7:13 am. He weighed 9 lb. 1 oz, and he is 21 inches long. I know some photos have been circulating via email, and on Facebook, but if you haven't seen any. . .I promise I will post some when I can!!!!!

We JUST got home from the hospital, so I'm going to go get settled in!! Hugs from me and my THREE boys!!!

Tanner's baby shower!

A few weekends ago, my parents came to town and we enjoyed a sweet baby shower at our church. We got lots of soft blankies, sweet outfits, and thank goodness - DIAPERS!

My mom oh so kindly informed me that I am as big now, as I was the day that Bryce was born. Granted, I FEEL as big as a house, but I don't know if I am that big or not. . . .but we are definitely in for a BIG baby!

I think the cake DEFINITELY got the seal of approval from Mr. Bryce. And he was showered with a TON of gifts too. . .. CARS, stuffed animals, new sippy cups, and lots of Big Brother treats!!!

This ramp, in the fellowship hall is one of Bryce's favorite places to play. He and Poppy had some great car races with his collection of new cars!

a quick Tanner update. . .(all my random thoughts)

I forgot I wanted to share a quick baby update (And don't worry the rest of the photos I promised, will start tomorrow.) I had a dr. appt this week, and it went well. I survived my glucose test (where they make you drink this horribly sweet "beverage" and then they take your blood. Fun fun.) They said they'd have the results the next day, and that "no news is good news" so we are going to assume that the test came back fine. (Good thing, because I am NOT giving up my evening bowl of mint chocolate chip icecream!)

The baby's size is right on track. . .but on the big side of normal. . .so the doctor said he will definitely be as big or bigger than Bryce. (B was 8 lbs 4 oz., and 8 days early) Let's hope for maybe a week or so early with this one too, shall we!????

I start seeing the dr. every three weeks now.
Tanner gets the hiccups. . .a lot. This week I am convinced that Bryce and Tanner have been trading them back and forth.
I took my rings off this week, because I'm starting to swell a little bit.
And the summer is getting really HOT.

We started getting Tanner's room ready, and Bryce and I have been sorting baby clothes for two days. We have 0-3 month clothes coming out our EARS. So if you feel compelled to buy cute baby clothes. . .please aim for larger sizes!!! :)

It's official. . .

Bryce's baby brother has a name. About time, huh?

Tanner Everett is the final decision. We picked Tanner for no reason in particular, other than the fact that we just LIKE it!!! Everett is a family name on BOTH sides of our family, which is pretty neat! :)

And after much debating, I finally picked a color scheme and some super cute bedding for Tanner's room/Guest room. I didn't want to do a major baby theme, since the room WILL still be functioning as a guest room (yes, you still have a place to stay the next time you come to visit, and Tanner will come and bunk with us - don't worry - no midnight feedings and crying babies for you to deal with! Well, unless you're Mimi. . .then perhaps!)

So, without further ado, here's the bedding we picked.

So we'll go with a bright cheery green/yellow/blue color scheme, with lots of polka dots and circles!! ( I LOVE that!!) I am going to start working on some fun artwork to hang in there, too!

We are really excited, (and were secretly leaning towards hoping for another boy!!) Bryce is VERY excited, mainly because he wants to "teach the new baby to snore, so there can be three snoring boys in the house, and Mommy will need to buy earplugs."
