are you ready for about a MILLION photos? I just sat here for an hour uploading. . .when i try to do it a little at a time, i never get them all posted. . . so HERE THEY ARE!!!!! our wonderful christmas vacation!!!

me and my cousins . ..they are OLD now, which means that i am OLD now and the whole thing is just really bizarre. ian is like a thousand feet tall, and in college, and ruby just turned 18. . .yeeks. (don't remind me how i will be 30 soon!)

a trip to my parents' wouldn't be complete without a trip to the playground!!!!!! its amazing to see how bryce has grown since the first time he visited that playground!!!

just a couple that i love!!!! i seem to have a LOT of fuzzy photos after this trip. i just hate using a flash . . .sometimes a little fuzziness is worth it.

christmas eve hijinks . ..

so while most families were at home snuggling down for the night after church on christmas eve,we were busy getting into goofy trouble . . . and trying to break into my dad's study and exercise room (AKA ruby and ian's rooms) whose doors had been locked, and no one really knew where the key was. so my mom was on the phone with my dad .. ..eric was watching a YouTube video on how to pick a lock (seriously!!!), ian was hunting for needles, pen caps, and screw drivers, and i am pretty sure i saw my uncle paul with a hammer in his hand. the girls were doing much more productive things. . .ruby in the craft room doing sneaky secret things, nancy wrapping presents, and i was working on breakfast for the next morning!!

trains and time out

i think ian might have been just as excited to play with trains as bryce was!!!!

this box became TIME OUT and Bryce kept sending us each to the box for a moment to ourselves. (ian spent the most time in there. . .i think he secretly sort of liked it.)

the walking . . . .and the chalking

Walking and walking and walking. . .everyone took LOTS of trips around the front yard, through the gardens, the walkways, the back porch, pool lanai, and the driveway. (Most of the time while making train sound effects.) And if we weren't walking. . we were drawing with chalk!

Uncle Paul is the COOLEST. . .and the water is pretty cool too!

Here are the first of many . ..MANY photos from Christmas morning! Santa brought lots of goodies for us and Bryce is STILL working on opening gifts . ..he has taken his time and played with each gift after he opened it, so we have spent the entire day opening things little by little!
