Someone really should convince Bryce. . .

Can someone please tell Bryce that 5:30am is not really an acceptable time to be up in the morning? Granted, it is SOOO much better than 2:30, 3:30, 4:30 AND 5:30 (which were the normal nighttime wake-ups for quite sometime) But you see, now that I am finally getting to SLEEP at night, I am starting to remember how fond I am of it. So, if Bryce could grasp the "see you when the SUN COMES UP" concept, that would be just swell. In the meantime, if anyone else is up at the unfabulous time of 5:30am, give me a call, or come by with a big old frappachino, and we will watch Baby Einstein together. (Because this week, as Bryce is eating his first breakfast of the day - at 5:45am, he starts making quite loud elephant and lion sounds, which means "I want to watch Baby Noah, please, dear mommy of mine."
On an accomplishing sidenote, Bryce has finally decided that perhaps, after MONTHS of persuading, drinking milk out of a cup, as well as wearing a BIB are not so horribly abusive after all!!! He has had a cup of milk two days in a row, and as long as the bib is the terrycloth towel kind, with the hole cut out for his head, he actually LIKES wearing it!!!! Oh well for the pile of shirts he has wrecked with food stains, and the three bleach pens I have gone through in the meantime! Happy days, clean shirts (well, mostly clean shirts) and calcium rich bones. . .truly, what MORE could a mommy ask for!!!??

LOL...I would say a mom could ask for MORE Sleep!!!

Our rule was 7, heck I am staying home for both of our benefit..and anytime before 7..is not good!

It took a few weeks of going in and saying..it is STILL night night time, I will see you when it is light before they realized that I WAS not doing that..we had a few tears...but had more fun when they did get up..and then naptime could be later then 9:30 or 10...

We need to catch up!!!
Talk to you soon!!!

I second that mimi!! I hate summer for the boys. They stay up too late and sleep all day! School starts next week and I just know they are going to miss that 7AM bus!!

I think the parents that have or have had teenagers are in the majority here!
First of all, when school starts and you wish they would wake up early, they will not want to. When they are teenagers, you will beg them to GO TO BED at 2 am And then kick them OUT of bed at, well...we do it at 10 am. You, my dear Laura, can sleep when he is older. But by then you will be waking up early and you will wish YOU could sleep later. It is unfair, I know! As my mom would say, such is life!

You know you should try those cool TIDE pens - I've dumped some pretty icky stuff on me and they work really well - better than the SHOUT wipes.
