Going to Orlando/Kissimmee, still feels like going home sometimes. But when we lived in Kissimmee and we came to visit Jacksonville it always felt like we were going home too. And whenever we go to St. Augustine, we feel like we are going home, and when I go to Fort Myers I feel like I am going home. Its all quite complicated, but it was nice to be in Orlando, although I still feel a little nostalgic and homesick when we are there!! We had such a fun trip with my parents for the Scrapbook Expo.
www.scrapbookexpo.com We weren't much help to my mom, but we had all sorts of fun adventures. I shared in an earlier post about the crazy ducks at The Peabody. The next day we wandered around Downtown Disney - that's the area with all sorts of fun shops, and restaurants - you can find ALL things Disney without having to go INTO Disney. (It's a great free date too!) Bryce got to watch a crazy jumping fountain, which he LOVED. We got the biggest best mocha frappachino from Ghiradelli's, and Bryce and Eric rode the carousel. Later on we went to this crazy warehouse store in the middle of NOWHERE, that gets all sorts of old Disney stuff - everything from ride equipment to hotel icebuckets to styrofoam cups from the parks. You just sort of dig through and see what you can find. We didn't buy anything, but it was quite a fun place!
www.mousesurplus.com You can check out their Ebay store and website! We also had dinner at a very fun restaurant called Cafe Tu Tu Tango
www.cafetututango.com Artists sell their work at the restaurant, where it COVERS the walls. Artists also work there, so as you eat you can watch a painter paint, and in the evenings musicians come in to play their tunes! The food was yummy, and we had a good time!
Its good to be home now, and the big challenge now is to get Bryce back to sleeping well after a vacation AND a time change! Enjoy the pictures!
