A Disney Packing Break

Well, the packing continues, but we didn't want to leave without going to Disney one more time, so today we went to MGM and Epcot. We didn't go on a single ride, but we walked around and had a nice lunch at the Prime Time Cafe, where our friend Ron is a chef. It was hot as can be, and we were all melting, but had a good time anyways!!! Now, its BACK TO WORK!!!! The house is almost all packed, but i know when it comes down to it, we will be loading the truck and I will discover a ton more stuff that never got packed. I am at the point of just tossing things in boxes whether they came from the same room or not. For instance, one box might contain something like this: a glass fruit bowl, my bathrobe, a few of Bryce's tub toys, a box of macaroni and cheese, and three pairs of socks. Nice huh? What room do you exactly label a box with those contents?????? In this case, all the misc boxes are labeled "Living Room". Needless to say, there will be a LOT of boxes in the living room. And now, perhaps since Bryce is busy playing with Daddy, I should go pack another misc. living room box!!! Buh byeeee!

We're MOVING!

FINALLY, it has been announced, and I can say it out loud!!! WE'RE MOVING. Today at church the announcement was made to the congregation and it is out in the open. Some of you have known that moving back to Jax was a possibility, but it was so hard because we couldn't tell anyone until it was officially announced at church. I definitely have mixed emotions about this move, and right now the house is such a disaster and things are so hectic trying to do all the "lasts" that we want to do before we leave, that I cannot even think straight. (Especially on top of sleepless nights and taking care of Bryce!!!) Packing with a six month old is really an adventure, but we just do a little, and then take a little play break, or diaper break, or feeding break, and then hopefully pack some more!! I am staying up ridiculously late at night after he has gone to bed, to try and do the stuff that is impossible with the baby. SO I will have much more to post in the next few days to get you all up to date on everything. I have been wanting to write about our packing and moving adventures for so long, that I AM glad at least that I can TALK ABOUT IT!!!!

The Crying Game

Forgive me for repeating myself on this subject that we seem to have covered, but WHY oh WHY oh WHY is my child still CRYING and still not SLEEPING at night. Remember when we discussed this weeks ago? Yes, well the crying it out has not worked. It seems to have worked for every other parent I have talked to. "Oh yeah, those first three nights were awful, but she's been sleeping ever since." "He screamed for an hour those first few nights, but then he got it, and he goes to sleep on his own now." GOOD FOR YOU. Why won't MYYYY child do it!!??? If he would stay asleep at night, I could handle him crying every night. If he would fall asleep easily, I could handle the getting up at night (well, tolerate it better anyways) But he STILL screams and screams when I put him down, and he still wakes up every hour or two at the most throughout the night. With all the other chaos and stress in our lives right now, a sleeping child would be SUCH a blessing!!!!! Especially tonight, since Eric is in Jacksonville, and I am on my own to listen to the crying! I'm Sorry, I'm Sorry!!!

I am glad that our blog is such a highlight of so many people's day, but good grief people - sometimes I have to take CARE of the baby, which takes precedence over uploading photos to the blog :) At any rate, sorry for the lack of posts lately! We got home safe and sound from Lakeland and now we are just trying to get caught up on life! We are in for a hectic couple of weeks, but I promise I will get more pics up when I can, and next week I will have lots to post. . . I promise!! Don't give up on us!! Love you all!

Steve came down to Lakeland to visit us today (on a trip home while studying in Germany) I haven't seen him since Christmas - I am much bigger now! Steve needs a haircut, just like I do!!

Well we made it to Lakeland and here i sit, downloading pictures from our hotel room!! Sorry that some of them are sideways. When we get back home and I can do a better job I will try to straighten them all out! At least you can see Bryce's adventures in the pool. Pool Partying!

We are down in Fort Myers at my parents' house enjoying the Memorial Day weekend, plus a few extra days. From here we are basically going straight to Lakeland for the United Methodist Annual Conference, through the end of the week. I am not able to put up new pictures right now, but hopefully while we are in Lakeland, I will be able to, with Eric's laptop. We have had lots of adventures to share! Bryce took his first swim yesterday and had a blast!! He looks SO cute in his big boy swim trunks!!! He was kicking his feet and carrying on the whole time! (Will post lots of pictures!!) We also bought Bryce a highchair while we were here, but he hasnt quite decided how he feels about it!! (Will post lots of pictures!!!) Last night we had a cookout with my family, and today we went to the outlet mall and bought sleepers for Bryce (he's in 6-9 months now!!) and clothes for Mommy, Daddy, and Bryce! Look for pictures to be posted on Thursday night!

Baby Jillian

Today we got to meet a very special baby! Jillian Shockey was baptized today, in Lakeland. Jillian is my dear dear roomie and pal Annamaria's baby. Us three roomies, Annamaria, Joy and I were all working on babies in 2004. Bryce was the first one born, in December. Then Jillian was born in March, and Joy's little man is due in about three weeks!!! (I cannot WAIT!! I bet she can't either) ANYWAYS, Jillian is this tiny little pixie sweet pea of a girly girl, and I was so happy to meet her! Eric, Bryce and I got to catch up with lots of friends and enjoy time at Annamaria's parents house after being at the baptism. Here are some pictures from the day!
