now that i'm 22 months old. . .

Now that I'm 22 months old. . .
I sleep until 5:00am. (and then I call mommy and say DONE!)
I like to put my dishes in the sink.
I do crazy CRAZY dances that make everyone laugh.
I like to put my head on brother and comfort him when he is sad.
I love music.
I love getting free cookies from Publix.
I like to climb the ladder on Bryce's bunk bed. (I can climb ANYWHERE.)
I like to crawl in bed and read books.
I like it especially when Bryce reads me books.
I like to do everything Bryce does.
I am pretty sure I am six years old. Not one year old.
I can say:
choo choo
uh oh!
bye bye (bah bah)
mama
dada
brother (buhbuh)
broom
dinosaur (dine-DOR)
up
down
walk
DONE!
shake shake (sha sha)
banana
strawberry
blueberry
rabbit
Tigger
Nemo
balloon
ball
giraffe
splash (Paah!)
Tada!

and there are sound effects for:
garbage
bug
dog
cat
 pig
frog
tick tock
We're excited to spend the week with lots of family. . . .the Carlsons' are here this week from California, and Nancy and Ruby will be here from Texas. . .lots of fun!!! We love SUMMER!!!!

how many jammies?

Tanner was wearing his pajamas (the car shirt and the blue shorts) but after Bryce got dressed (and left his pj's on the floor) Tanner decided to put those on as well.  He got them on all by himself, which is pretty impressive.  (And pretty funny looking too!)

WELL THATS JUST GREAT.  I saw (and heard) that the video stopped working. So I deleted it (and accidentally deleted the photo too.) Then when I tried to reload it, it won't work.  Apparently Blogger is fussy today,
so stay tuned.
I'm working on it.

Saturday - Well, I got a picture back up, but the video is still not working. . .going to try to put it on YouTube and/or Facebook.

Tough guy on wheels

I'm pretty sure it's hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk. We lasted about ten minutes outside. And that was only because I wanted to get the mail!

jilly and ava's visit

Finally, only a week late, here are some pictures from the visit with Jilly and Ava! Bryce loved having friends sleeping over, in his room.  He tried sleeping on the top bunk for the first time, while they were here, and he LOVES it.  He's been there every night since!
Lunch is always better after a morning at the beach, with a friend!

Hmm, how would you exactly characterize these costumes? Bryce is wearing a bathing suit, a Thanksgiving shirt from preschool, a pirate eye patch, and a funky hat - and I'm pretty sure that's a gun or light saber in his hand.  (Spider Man is the kiddos friend Addie)

More confusing characters! What ARE you guys?!
Bryce will hate my some day for this, but here he is painting Jilly's fingernails for her.  Tee hee hee! :)

GEESH, could you children PLEASE cooperate? I just wanted ONE picture. With four smiles. And four faces looking at me.  And four sets of arms doing what arms normally do - not crazy weird poses! Goofy children.  (I do love you!)
This is about the best I got!
BIG smooches for Annamaria! (I LOVE LOVE LOVE this picture!!!! Two of my favorite people on the whole planet!!! xoxox)

new words

So that I don't forget. . .
yesterday Tanner said "Bye Bye"

and today, he started saying "Uh Oh!"

before things went awry . . .

I forgot what a good picture spot I have in my bedroom, when the hope chest under the windows isn't covered in laundry! ;)  We were stuck inside most of the day yesterday, because the smoke from all of the wildfires was REALLY bad.  To entertain ourselves (well, to entertain myself anyway) we had a much-needed photoshoot.  This was before playtime-in-mommy's room went horribly awry . . . the kiddos made a giant pillow fort on the floor, and apparently Tanner "told" Bryce that he could throw/drop him.  So Bryce did.  And Tanner conked his head on the corner of the hope chest, and started bleeding.  He didn't even really cry, so I was QUITE surprised when I saw blood dripping down the back of his head! He was fine, and Bryce (hopefully) knows that good judgement should reign over whatever a one-year-old "TELLS" you is okay.

"Surprised face"

If you tell tanner, "Surprised face!" this is the face he makes. It's hilarious! (Bryce's is pretty funny too!) and now, off to take Bryce for a much-needed haircut!

Summer vaca, day one!

Day one of summer vacation has included a trip to the library, close to 20 books to read, plus a (free) strawberry lemonade and (not free) chocolate chip cookies from McDonalds on the way home. (have you had those cookies yet?! They are yum-o!) Both boys LOvE that frozen strawberry lemonade - I'm lucky I got any of it! :) happy summer!

Little Gym Show Week

Tanner finished his second semester at The Little Gym last week.  The last week is always called, "Show Week", where the kids get to show off all their skills and tricks! Tanner had such a great semester, and has gotten more confident, swinging on the bar, walking on the balance beam, and doing forward rolls.  He LOVES playing with the giant bucket of bouncy balls each week, and doing "Ready, set, GO" and taking off for a race around the big red mat.
walking on the balance beam with Daddy

hanging on the bar

finishing a forward roll (somersault)

sitting with Daddy

Tanner received a ribbon at the end of class, and got to sit up on the  "stage"!

taking a walk across the stage!

playing the "drums" for the last time this semester.

We will take the summer off from class, but Tanner is hoping that someone would like to pay for the fall semester, for his birthday! :)

Now that I'm almost in first grade. . . .

"I can talk like Darth Vader.
I can make people laugh.
I can ride my scooter.
I can read a lot of books.
I am a reading machine!
I love to work on paper and write stories.
I have written a six page story about race cars.
I like to water the plants.
I like to ride my scooter.
I like to practice riding my bike.
I like to play with squirt guns.
I know how to add and subtract.
I like school.
My favorite foods are pizza, chicken nuggets,  and chocolate chip bagels.
And mac 'n cheese by the way.
The
End."
