Magical First

Today for our anniversary, and my birthday we took Bryce to the Magic Kingdom for the first time! He was sooo good, and I think had a pretty good time!! (We did too!) We went on "It's a Small World" and Bryce was mesmerized by the colors, lights, and movement! (And can it be considered his first boat ride, even if the boat is running on a track??) He took a nice nap through about half of our time there, even sleeping through his first encounter with Chip and Dale!
In honor of my birthday I got my hair cut last night - SHORT, for me anyways! I think it is the shortest my hair has ever been! You might be able to see it in the photo of Bryce and I, but I will have Eric take a better shot tomorrow so you can see it! It is much less "pullable" by mr. grabby hands, and I really like it!
Now I think we will finish off our day with a movie and hopefully an early bedtime for baby, because we are pooped! I told Bryce that all I wanted for my birthday was a full night of sleep. . . but I won't hold my breath!

Check-Up Time!

Bryce had a check-up and shots today. He is now 17 pounds, 4 ounces and 26 1/2 inches long. He is in the 90th percentile for height and weight!!! The nurse commented how very alert and attentive Bryce is for his age. He of course screamed his head off during his shots, (two in one leg, and one in the other) the poor kid, but calmed down fairly quickly, and then took a two hour nap! HOORAY!

Hooray! I am finally big enough to sit in here and play! 

Drooly Baby

Easy. This whole thing was supposed to be EASY. ha! I finally got a picture posted (it only took me ALL day to figure it out) Now I just have to figure out how to make the pictures going in the right direction. DETAILS, DETAILS. Anyway, Bryce is chewing and drooling on everything he can get his mouth near. Eric and I, as well as everything Bryce touches is wet and slimy. It is just DELIGHTFUL. He is starting to laugh more often though, and that truly IS delightful! Tonight we went for a walk around the neighborhood, and Bryce didn't even freak out in his stroller as he sometimes does. In the past few weeks I think we are finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel as far as the fussy and slightly needy baby we once knew! Quite frankly, he is starting to be much easier to be around! (Easy yet damp and slimy!)

All day long I have been trying to post a picture. Just one picture, and a note about how Bryce is drooling all over everything. For a few minutes, the picture was there. But not the text. Then there was text, and no picture. Then there was both, but it wasn't where it was supposed to be. God help me, I might throw the computer out the window. Let this note stand as a test to see if I can make this blasted thing work!

Bryce's First Blog

Welcome to our blog! (I still think blog sounds like some silly made up word that doesn't actually mean anything.) Someday Bryce will think blogging is old news, but for now I think it is the newest, hottest thing, and we are a cool and trendy little family for having one!! I am still trying to figure it all out, but it seems like a great way for all the Bryce fans of the world to keep up on every little detail of our crazy baby life! For those are you (like me) who are not familiar with a blog, it is basically an online journal (hopefully with pictures when I figure THAT out.)
SO check back often for notes from Bryce, about Bryce, about everything else that's going on (and probably much more information than you ever cared to know!) If nothing else it will give this new stay-at-home mommy a new project to play with!
